Workshop Product

We challenged conference attendees to use the knowledge they gained from our speakers to brainstorm ways to expand outreach efforts regarding hepatitis B-related stigma and discrimination. Specifically, participants were asked to create a pitch for an advocacy project that combined art, storytelling, and medicine that answered the following questions:

  1. How will you amplify stories and people that suffer from Hepatitis B?

  2. Which medium will you use, and why is it a good way to advocate about Hepatitis B?

  3. Who is your target audience, and how will you tailor your medium to this demographic?

  4. Who would you want to collaborate with? Which existing advocates have you drawn inspiration from?

  5. What lessons have you learned from the conference that inspired your ideas for advocacy?

Displayed below is the workshop product created by attendees Stephanie Chau and Skyllar Kuppinger (UCLA). Their input adds to our list of possible advocacy campaigns that Team HBV can pursue in the near future.
